I’m doing something a little different today. Rather than write about what I’d like to share with you this week, I’ve put together a video about three common myths about working with travel advisors.
Remember, I’m not just your friendly neighborhood travel blogger (at least in the Golden, Colorado neighborhood). I’m also a certified travel advisor who specializes in culinary, wellness and active adventure travel with Cruise Planners. And like I’ve told countless people who ask when they hear that, I plan and book more than cruises. In fact, most of the bookings I’m doing now are land tours, and that’s perfectly fine with me.
There are even some people who think that travel advisors don’t exist anymore. That’s probably because they still consider us travel agents who booked all kinds of travel – everything from flights to hotels to cruises.
Many travelers now do this themselves, thanks to online travel booking sites like Expedia and with airline websites that now do the job that travel agents used to do. That’s why we are now travel advisors. Rather than do mostly booking and some advice, we’ve moved more into an advisory role and guide people through the ever-changing travel landscape.
So, tune in below and find out why the three myths about travel advisors are just that…and why you should use our services for your travel!
