I am taking the week off from posting new content as I occasionally do. This is mainly because I am not traveling anywhere for this new month and haven’t been to any new eateries lately. Also, it's midway through 2024 and an excellent time to review where I've been.

In the meantime, I’m posting seven links to some of my posts that are worthy of a second look (or first, if you haven’t seen them before). This is content I’m proud to share and hope that you will enjoy reading it.

The French-inspired interior at Mon Ami Gabi, Paris Las Vegas

3 Vegas eateries: Mon Ami Gabi, China Poblano, Flavortown

In March, I visited three very different restaurants in Las Vegas. While I enjoyed all of them, Mon Ami Gabi was my favorite. I don't get to have French food often, and this place was outstanding.

Part of the grand gardens at Filoil, Woodside, California

Filoli: going beyond the TV landmark

You might remember a nighttime soap opera from the 1980s, "Dynasty." This estate south of San Francisco was in the opening credits for the show. It's now one of the most popular attractions in the Bay Area.

Rogan josh plate at Robin's Restaurant, Cambria, California

Four Cambria/San Simeon eateries: Central Coast deliciousness

The Central Coast area of California has become an exciting new wine country with restaurants to match. Four of them are in San Simeon and Cambria.  My favorite was Robin's.

William Randolph Hearst's private study at Hearst Castle, San Simeon

Hearst Castle and other San Simeon attractions

The massive, European-style estate Hearst Castle is one of the most popular attractions in the Central Coast region. However, several other interesting places to visit are nearby.

The Bishop's Palace at Galveston, Texas

Galveston: Texas history in a nutshell

Galveston is rich with history dating back to the eighteenth century when it played a role in the area's colonial, republic, and state stories. As part of this tour, I visited these four essential places.

A dessert sampler at Riondo's, Galveston, Texas

Galveston culinary: Riondo's and the cocktail trail

I enjoyed several drinks at three different bars in Galveston on a tour known as the "cocktail trail." But my dinner at Riondo's, an Italian restaurant in the Strand district, was even better.

Ingredients for ceviche at Grand Palladium Riviera Maya

Grand Palladium Riviera Maya

While this post is only a few weeks old, this five-in-one resort was one of my favorite places to visit in the past six months. It is a fantastic all-inclusive option on the Riviera Maya.
